yoyoseby
I have a quick question, I'm planning a build with a 3x120 LL pack, a 2x140 LL pack and an additional 140 LL, so 6 LL fans, and I want all of them to be synced through MSI Mystic Light as I want my entire lightning to be controlled with this software. Is it possible to do this via JCORSAIR header on MSI MOBO such as Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon. From what I've read online, I should be able to do this, by connecting the fans to the 6 fan hub and connecting the fan straight to the MOBO through JCORSAIR. However I've read things like "only 5 LL fans" work like that so I was wondering is that true?
yoyoseby
Motherboard's manual says that JCORSAIR supports 6x 120 LL, does that mean that 140 LL are not supported??
DevBiker
Motherboard's manual says that JCORSAIR supports 6x 120 LL, does that mean that 140 LL are not supported?? The 140 LL and the 120 LL are, from an RGB lighting perspective, identical. So the 140LLs will also be supported.
yoyoseby
So basically, I won't have any problem as long as the manual says that jcorsair port supports 6x fans....right?
DevBiker
So basically, I won't have any problem as long as the manual says that jcorsair port supports 6x fans....right? Correct. Again, from the RGB perspective, they are identical. That's why, in iCUE, you set them up as "LL RGB Fans" and not as LL120 or LL140. As to why MSI wrote their documentation like this ... you'd have to ask them.
yoyoseby
Thank you very much sir, so all I need to do is make sure, by reading the only manual, that the motherboard supports 6 LL configuration in order to put my plan on the wheels. Thank you
