AZEqualizer
I have two pairs of pro series XMS (total of 2G) that have been running for some time (11-03-2003) now but of late(last 6 months) I have received lots of system failures. I ran memory test several times in the past but could not get the memory errors to show up sonsistantly. After having a major system restore a pair has show up failed using both the memory test on the Corsiar site and the standalone Windows memoryh diagnostic which both show two of the modules in constant failure ( 512MB + 512MB) I had originally assigned these two modules into slot 2 + 4. I recently moved them to 1 + 3. Now that the system has crashed several times I can get the memory test to display failure consistantly. I would like to get a RMA on these modules... I must say I use a lot of Corsair twinX modules on machines that I use and build and these are the first to let me down.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 1, 2005 I would suggest you submit all 4 modules so they all match. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
AZEqualizer
I send out 4 modules (two of which are bad), two weeks later I get 4 back.... but the bad part is one of them is bad. I reseat it just to make sure, but the Memory test still shows it is bad. I replace it with one of the two I bought so I could continue to run the system while the originals are being replaced.... and not one hickup. So what now? I still have a bad module. And BTW I see no indication that these are matched. Looks like 4 new individual packages of similar memory.
