LL120/140s LEDs not lighting up

Hey Dudes,

New build here in the 570x. I went out and bought the 3 pack LL120 with LNP, and 2 LL140s. I used the corsair fan hub built into the case in slots 1-5. The LNP is connected and being recognized in iCUE. Ive set the profiles, tinkered around with both USB headers, different SATA power, etc.

The fans are running fine off the MOBO, but I can't figure out how to get these to light up. The SP120s stock and the LL140s were lighting up with the original fan hub and case controller.

Any ideas on what I'm missing here?

You have SATA power going to the Lighting Node Pro (it'll show up in iCUE even if it's not getting SATA power but it won't work)? Any adapters in play (Molex to SATA, in particular)?

Did you connect the fan hub to the Lighting Node Pro and configure it as LL fans? Did you configure the correct channel? (This is a common mistake ...)

Are all of the fans selected for an effect? Does Instant Lighting work?

Have you tried rearranging the fans on the hub? Tried a different hub?

Thanks for the quick reply.

  1. =
  2. You have SATA power going to the Lighting Node Pro? Yes, SATA connected.
  3. Any adapters in play? Nothing I'm aware of, no Molex, just standard SATA powering my SSD, the LNP and Kraken x62
  4. Did you connect the fan hub to the Lighting Node Pro and configure it as LL fans? Yes, using the same connector that came with the 570x to connect the fan hub to the LNP. I set them as LL fans, there wasn't an apply/confirm though. But the fans popped up and I attempted to play around with colors to get them to turn on.
  5. Did you configure the correct channel? I switched between both channels, and even switched them on the LNP from LED 1 to 2. Still nothing.
  6. Are all of the fans selected for an effect? Yes, tried this.
  7. Does Instant Lighting work? Does nothing.
  8. Have you tried rearranging the fans on the hub? A little but, not into much depth as it didn't seem like the problem. I suppose I can try just 1 fan in slot 1?
  9. Tried a different hub? I did not try the hub that came with...only the one preinstalled in the 570x

I'm not sure that a cable comes with the 570x to connect the fan hub to the LNP. That case comes with a push-button controller. The multi-pack of the fans will come with a cable - it's 3 pins but only 2 wires.

Try putting the fans on the fan hub one at a time, on port 1. Make sure that you have the right channel configured in iCue. The thing with the fans is this - they run in a series so if one is bad, it can take out the entire chain. Hopefully, that's the issue that we're having.
