richard-wong
I got a stick of this error occurs at 206.3MB on memtest, an its a repeative error, that it occurs at every test. I have emailed Ramguy, how do i get the RMA procedures? also the ram is a V1.1 ie BH5, cna i still get BH5 RMA replacements? as its default latencies are 2-2-2-x @ 217MHz i dun think even the new XL rams can do such latencies at such speeds. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 The tested settings for XMS3500C2 would be Cass 2-3-3-7 at 217 Mhz! Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
richard-wong
yes, i am running a DFI NF2 Lanparty Ultra B board. I run my cpu is a Athlong 2600M at 200MHz at 13 multiplier, with the ram usually set at 2-2-2-11. and never ran the ram at 217MHz really but during my memtest i tested all latencies at 200MHz, it didn't pass on all tests Vdimm is set to auto. just ran a quick test using default/SPD for everything apart from the CPU @ 217X9 with 1.8V memtest failed again. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 I would suggest setting the CPU and memory Frequency at 166 MHz and then set the timings to Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3" and test the module. If it passes that might suggest your CPU just dent like to run at those settings and I would try and relax the Rass to Cass and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts. Also what test are you getting errors on? In addition, you do realize the CPU you have is rated at 133 MHz and is for notebooks right?
richard-wong
yes i know the CPU is rated at 133, the thing is that i have 2 sticks of this ram, the other stick is workin fine its only this one. these two sticks have been in my system for ages now, and nenevr gave a problem till now. but i will try 133MHz and 166MHz and the suggested timings and speeds now.
