Infernoken
Hi, I'm running CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 V5.32 2x16GB DDR4 in my Ryzen build and it's happily running on 3000Mhz. Specs: Asus Crosshair Hero VII WiFi x470 + 2700x I'm trying to further tighten the timings and would like to understand what chip is used in this kit? Thaiphoon Burner suggest a Hynix A-die, but on the forum i read some other info...? (Hynix 8Gbit CJR) Anybody can confirm what the actual chip is? Kind Regards, Nick
emissary42
Did you check the kit with the latest version of Thaiphoon Burner? It should recognize Hynix 8Gbit CJR if the SPD is properly programmed and Ver5.32 would suggest that. There is always the possibility that either the Corsair Ver or the SPD is wrong. The only way to absolutely make sure is to remove the heatpsreader and check the IC label, but I do not recommend that, since you might destroy the modules and it will also void the Corsair warranty. Instead check if you can run them at DDR4-3466+ with timings like 16-19-19/17-20-20 and moderate voltage, since Hynix 8GBit AFR can't do that. Infernoken
Hi, yes, I checked with the latest version of Thaiphoon burner... This is what it reports back: Module Manufacturer: Corsair Module Part Number: CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 Module Series: Vengeance LPX DRAM Manufacturer: Hynix DRAM Components: H5AN8G8NAFR-TFC DRAM Die Revision / Process Node: A / 21 nm Module Manufacturing Date: Undefined Module Manufacturing Location: Taiwan Module Serial Number: 00000000h Module PCB Revision: 00h So this suggest this is A-die (AFR)...? Jim Hopper
I would recommend using the latest Thaiphoon Burner 15.0 RC since it is more accurate in respect to hynix C-die DRAMs identification.
Infernoken
I would recommend using the latest Thaiphoon Burner 15.0 RC since it is more accurate in respect to hynix C-die DRAMs identification. Need to check the exact Thaiphoon version, but I may have downloaded it from the website before Nov 29 (which is now shown on the website as the last version...) Infernoken
Need to check the exact Thaiphoon version, but I may have downloaded it from the website before Nov 29 (which is now shown on the website as the last version...) Was able to check... Version was already the latest V1.50, but downloaded and installed again just to be sure... Same was reported: Module Manufacturer: Corsair Module Part Number: CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 Module Series: Vengeance LPX DRAM Manufacturer: Hynix DRAM Components: H5AN8G8NAFR-TFC DRAM Die Revision / Process Node: A / 21 nm Module Manufacturing Date: Undefined Module Manufacturing Location: Taiwan Module Serial Number: 00000000h Module PCB Revision: 00h So this really should be A-Die?
