Bazza32
Hi, I have been having a lot of memory problems using the above combination. I had to return my original memory as they were faulty. When I got my replacements, they started playing up as well, but it ended up being the motherboard. So now I have a brand new motherboard, and memory which has been tested by my supplier (KOMPLETT.IE) and they say the memory is fine. I rebuilt my machine on Friday, and put the memory in slots 1 and 3, and tried to boot up with the default bios settings. I got as far as the windows XP splashscreen and the PC locked. Since then I have been having the same problems as I had when I got my motherboard replaced. The problem I am having, is that only 1 of the modules appears to work in the system. I have tested the modules in another machine and they appear fine, and so have KOMPLETT. The module that works will work in any slot, and the other module will work in none of the slots. I have set the bios settings as follows, is there anything I should change??? Max Memclock=Auto 1T/2T Memory Timing=2T CAS# latency (Tcl)=2.0 RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd)=3 Min RAS# active time (Tras)=11 Row Precharge time(Trp)=2 High Performance Mode=Manual Aggressive Timing=Disabled Dynamic Overclocking=Disabled Spread Spectrum=Enabled HT Frequency=4x Cool 'n' Quiet=Disabled Adjust CPU Ratio=Startup Adjust CPU Frequency=200 Adjust AGP Frequency=66 CPU voltage=CPU Default Memory voltage=2.80v AGP voltage=1.50v Any help would be great. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 Let's try replacing your modules. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! But if you have done that and still have the same problem, I would maybe try and replace the CPU.
