cyberop
About 3 months ago, I purchased two sticks of CMX512-3200C2PT from NewEgg.com, and have had no issues with the ram up to this point. Just a week ago I began noticing windows blue screening at specific memory addresses, games crashing at specific memory addresses, and even basic windows utilities crashing at specific addresses. I ran a newer version of Mem-test with both sticks in, and within the first test and 20 seconds of testing, it was totaling around 1500 errors. I pulled what I thought to be the bad chip out of the computer (chip was VERY hot) and ran the test again, no errors. I put the other chip in, and it began finding the same amount of numbers again. It's obvious there is a major problem with this chip. (BTW, this is all with default mobo timings) My system specs are: ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe mobo Athlon 64 3400+ 1Mb L2 cache 1.5gig Corsair CMX512-3200C2PT 1 Maxtor HDD, and one Seagate HDD (non-raid) SB Audigy 2 ZS 430wt Antec True Power XFX Nvidia GeForce 6600GT 8X AGP ***Corsair required I fill out a thread on this forum for a postID number to have my problem analyzed, and faulty chip possibly replaced*** Very Respectfully, Robert Young
