enformic
I'm building my first PC and was confused with how to install this cooler. My case has a PWM hub which is suggested to be plugged into the CPU fan connector, so instead of using the CPU connector should I plug the H150i into the pump connector on my motherboard or into the PWM hub? c-attack
The motherboard connector on the H150 does not supply power and is only a pump speed reading for the BIOS. Technically, you can put it anywhere or nowhere and the unit will still work as it should. However, your BIOS will balk anytime you don't have something on CPU Fan at boot. Since the CPU fan header typically isn't useful for case fan control, this makes it a nice place to park the H150i header. In that position you will also get a BIOS error if the pump were to fail on start up.
