Eredelis
Everytime I turn my computer on an icue boots up, I have to go into the commander pro and switch the fan settings(4 LL120s) from quiet to balanced or extreme. Is there a way to get it to save? Should it already being doing that and just hasn't worked for the last year for me? Thanks
tristanb
Technically, if you move your profile that has the speed settings the way you want them to the top profile slot, drag and drop, it is supposed to save. I can't my settings to survive a reboot either.
Eredelis
That's what I thought... so it just hasn't worked in a very long time. >.<
DevBiker
Hmmm ... dunno ... works on my machines. Can you show us the profile in question? What is the control source for your fan curves?
Eredelis
They're premade by Corsair, it just doesn't matter which is first. They always start on quiet regardless of profile. Despite it being Balanced, Extreme, then quiet, on every profile I've made. And it's using a commander pro, if that's what you're asking.
c-attack
What version of iCUE are you using? This was a really old bug from early versions and it hasn't come up in quite a while, although someone mentioned the "Quiet reset" for the C-Pro last week. Eredelis
3.9.93, but it's been happening since I used CUE2 almost a year ago. The commander pro has all it's firmware updates as well. And I've recently replaced the C Pro due to damage from idiocy on my part but it was doing it way before that anyways.
c-attack
Across two devices, two programs, and multiple software versions? To me this suggests some type of profile corruption traveling with you, but we’ll see what the others think. When is the last time you did a clean install not taking your profiles with you? Eredelis
I don't know what changed but it suddenly started working after about year this morning. I'm thoroughly confused but I'm just gonna accept it and hope it stays. Thanks for all the help. And you're probably not far off, C-Attack, I've been carrying the same profiles for almost a year as well. Probably as good as time as any to purge and remake.
