TilarX
I have Corsair TWINX512-3200LLPT 512MB DDR400 XMS3200 Ultra Low Latency Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader (Each stick is a cmx256a - 3200llpt Xms 3205 v1.2 ) and the other set is Corsair TWINX1024-3200LLPT 1GB DDR400 XMS3200 Ultra Low Latency Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader ( each stick is cmx512 - 3200llpt xms 3205 v3.1) when i run each group seperate they run fine but when put together to make 1.5 gb Memtest picks up errors. I would love any help for a fix to this problem.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have? And with more than one set of modules you would need to relax the timings and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts.

Alright i have an Intel D865gbf Mobo. And thanks for the quick reply. and i know this is very ignorant of me but how will i change the latency and voltage? This is all new to me
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 With 4 modules I would try and relax the timings to Cass 2.5-4-4-8 and see if you can set the Dim Voltage to 2.8X Volts as well. For how to change the settings, please look in the user manual, Intel manuals are usually pretty good at explaining things.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 The timings should be adjustable in advanced chipset. If not you may not be able to run these modules with this MB. Sorry!

Is this a problem and i was wondering before i USer define my timing what does each number mean and stand for like 5 - 4-4-8 and cass 2. Sorry i really am new to this memory stuff.
