RaresMan
Hi, I purchased an XMS 3200 module from http://www.zipzoomfly.com a few months ago. My machine already had one such 512MB module, this was my second 512MB module. My system worked fine for a few days after adding the memory. After that I started experiencing program crashes, and blue screens of the type "Page Fault in Non-Paged area". I removed the module, leaving only the original in, and everything worked fine. Finally, today, I did a test, removing the original and putting in only the new one. For a few attempts, windows didn't even boot. Once it managed to boot and I got the same blue screen message. Please provide me with an RMA number so I can return the part. Below are my system specs, I have always ran the memory at 166MHZ, even though it is designed to work at 200MHZ. I have never overclocked the system. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 28, 2005 Since the modules are not matched the suggested settings would be as follows and they should be in slots 1-2. And I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well. DRAM Type: DDR-SDRAM DRAM Size: 512 MBytes DRAM Frequency: 166.7 MHz FSB:DRAM: 1:1 DRAM Interleave: 4-way CAS# Latency: 2.5 clocks RAS# to CAS#: 3 clocks RAS# Precharge: 3 clocks Cycle Time (TRAS): 7 clocks Then please test them with wwww.memtest.org.
