Nielsen
So i was thinking about changing my Kraken X61 to a Corsair Hydro H115i since i cba with the crappy software that NZXT have made. together with that i would like to put the 4x LL140 RGBs on it, and i would also like to put 2x LL140 RGB fans in the top of the case together with one in the back. but im just confused on what i need to get this to work since corsair has so many hubs. Any help would be good! -Nielsen
Corsair Employees Corsair Jam Posted November 15, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 15, 2018 :hihi: I would highly advise checking out Zotty's guide - here. It has a lot of useful information and detailed diagrams.
c-attack
You should read the above guide a few times regardless, but specifically you will want 1 LL140 x 2 "dual pack", 1 LL120 x 3 "triple pack", and 1 x LL120 single. The dual and triple pack will both have the required RGB Lighting Hub and Lighting Node Pro. You only need 1 of each for your current plan, but it is always handy to have a spare and buying these fans as singles is almost never as cost effective as buying the multi-packs. The fans will be controllable from the iCUE software package under the Lighting Node Pro device. For the coolers, there are now two 280mm models -- the H115i Pro and the H115i Platinum. Performance is similar, but the Platinum comes with some extra bling that you may or may not want, and certainly is reflected in the cost. I have the Pro model and am quite happy with it, but if I were buying new, I would consider the Platinum. There are several threads in the cooling section discussing the differences.
