Dear,

Event ID: 1003

Date: 2/26/2005

Memory used = 1 Corsair TWINX1024-3200XL - TwinX 2x512 Mo DDR-SDRAM PC3200 X-Treme Low Latency

Motherboard = ABIT AV8 - Socket 939 (VIA K8T800 Pro)

2 x Western Digital 160 Go 7200T 8 Mo IDE - WD1600JB "Special Edition" (bulk)

1 x AMD Athlon 64 3500+ - 2.2 GHz, Cache L2 512 Ko Socket 939 0.13 micron

Can you please explain me what bios settings I should apply in order to run memtest + as its dual channels memory, can you let me know if and how I can test modules separately?

Thank you in advance

Please put the memory module on either slots 1&2 or 3&4; make sure that you have the latest BIOS installed for your MB, and set the following settings on your BIOS;

TwinX512 or TwinX1024-3200XL

Guru Utility

CPU Operating Speed: User Define

External Clock: 200/66/33

Memory Clock: 200 or 400MHz

DDR SDRAM Voltage: 2.8 Volts

AGP VDDQ Voltage: 1.6

Advanced Chipset/DRAM Configuration:

DRAM Timing Selectable: User Define

DRAM Clock: DDR400

DRAM Command Rate: 1T

Cas Latency Time: 2T

RAS# to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T

Min. RAS# Active Time (tRAS): 5T

RAS# Precharge Time (tRP): 2T

All other settings should be set to default settings!

Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
