bwatso66
I am having seroius stability issues with this configuration. When I set the timings exactly as specified on this forum, it becomes very unstable. My config is as follows. MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (winchester) Cosair TWINX1024 3200C2PT Spec Timings 2.5-3-3-6 (DDR 400) 1t by SPD 3,3,8,5 (DDR 400) 1t In both memory settings above = very unstable! Video BFG OC 6800 Ultra 256MB (AGP) Antec 480W PWSP (new) The only way I can have a stable system is to slow the memory down to DDR333 and 2t. Could I have a bad module? Please help? FlipperBizkut
I'm having the same issue. I can slow timings down to 3-3-3-8-2T and it seems stable, but that is not what it is rated at. Any known issues? What is safe voltages for this ram anyway?
Wired
warrantied up to, but not over, 2.9 volts.
FlipperBizkut
Well, mine is not stable at 2.5-3-3-6-1T at 2.75. I can only get it stable at 3-3-3-8-2T at 2.75. Have any suggestions?
Wired
up the voltage? What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have?
FlipperBizkut
I have a 90nm 3200+ on an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. It is just simply unstable at anything other than 3-3-3-8-2T.

FlipperBizkut
2 512MB sticks. It is the pc3200C2 rev5. I have to go to work, so when I get home, I will pull the sticks and double check, but I'm sure that is what it is.
FlipperBizkut
I pulled the sticks. They are CMX512-3200C2PT sticks. It also says XMS3202v5.1. I have two of these 5122MB sticks. They came in the TwinX pack. The RAM also has the TwinX sticker on it. I noticed that I had the ram in the 3rd and 4th slots, so I decided to move them back to the 1st and 2nd. I changed the timings back down to 2.5-3-3-8-1T and booted up. I started up Prime95 as soon as the machine was booted, and it has been going ever since. I am typing this as it is working. It is as far as it has gotten with these latencies. Maybe it is a good sign. Prime ran without error last night for 9 hours at 3-3-3-8-2T. Maybe it was just the slots I was using? Wired
They should do 2.5-3-3-6.
