axhion
hello I've just assembled my first build. with this spec: Motherboard - ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME cooler - Hydro Series™ H150i PRO RGB CPU - Intel i9 7900x Memory - 4x8G G Skill TridentZ RGB 3600 C17Q GPU - Quadro p5000 SSD - Samsung 960 pro m.2 Power Supply - RMx Series™ RM1000x Case - Corsair 750D The pump of the cooler seams to work fine. The cpu temps stays under 60C under 100% loads. But the cooler doesn't show in the Corsair Link, and more important the light in the pump doesn't turn on. I made sure that the "corsair link usb cable" is is attached to the usb header. In the bios I set the cpu fan speed to (ignore) because at start showed a CPU fan error. I'm not very familiar with the bios setup ! ( I repeat this was my first build !!! So please please help....
DevBiker
Everything looks to be installed correctly - excellent pictures, by the way. At this point, I'd guess that the cooler's microcontroller is bad - so exchange is probably your best option.
axhion
Thanks a lot for replying. This would be very bad news for me! To difficult to turn it back, I bought it in another country. Is there any chance to be something else ? :((((

If you have a standard micro-USB data cable, you can put that into the pump head and route it to a rear IO port.
PJH
Hey, hey! What happens when you uninstall the discontinued LINK and install the latest version of iCUE, then give the CPU a color effect?
c-attack
That might be worth a try, but the CPU boot error is concerning. It appears the software is calling, but no one is picking up on the hardware end.

PJH
That might be worth a try, but the CPU boot error is concerning. It appears the software is calling, but no one is picking up on the hardware end. Hey, hey! A CPU fan error on boot, would mean the AIO is not hooked up to the CPU_FAN header, but rather, the AIO_PUMP header. The installation instructions on page 5 clearly states, "Connect pump tach cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard". It's difficult to tell if that connection is indeed to the CPU_FAN. It *looks* like it is from the manual layout of that mobo, but from the angle it's hard for me to tell for sure. If it is indeed hooked to the CPU_FAN header, yeah, another issue altogether. In the manual, Chapter 3 Page 3-9, there is an option in the BIOS to select Box Cooler, Tower Cooler, or Water Cooler from the EZ Tuning Wizard menu option "Main Cooling System". It's the first time I've ever seen that, but it may be required for this specific motherboard. Link does support the 150i Pro. Oh well, guess there are some people who still want to use it. Anyway, I know with the exact same cooler in iCUE, I had to give it an effect once iCUE loaded up because the profile I have it auto start on, did not have the AIO setup yet. No clue if it's the same in Link, but worth mentioning. Edited November 4, 2018 by PJH

What happens when you uninstall the discontinued LINK and install the latest version of iCUE, then give the CPU a color effect? Hello, thank you for your suggestion. I tried them, uninstalling Link and using iCUE and also otherwise but same result, no device detected...

The CPU fan header do not recognize the pump and so you have to set it to ignore. I'm sending the photo of the error and the change I've made to boot it properly. Please correct me if i'm wrong. :( Thanks a lot.

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT SHOULD SHOW A DRIVER WITH "CORSAIR" IN THE TITLE. I'M SENDING A PICTURE OF THE DRIVERS THAT SHOW UP in device manager. THANKS A LOT This is further indication that the micro-controller on the pump isn't working. I know that you don't want to hear that but EVERYTHING you've indicated here points to that and all you are doing is building a mountain of evidence supporting that. We cannot fix that on the forum. Hockster2
The only other thing to try is a different internal USB header. My current Asus board has two internal headers, but one them only has on set of pins active for USB, the other set is reserved for their ROG Extension. Plugging any of my Corsair items into it caused weird issues.
