Auda
Bought a corsair ax1200 back in 2011. It has been running daily for the last 7 years without any problems :sunglasse Just upgraded my pc with some rather expensive components. Is it still recommended to use this powersupply? If i replace it, what should i replace it with?
Zer0c
You can still use it if it works perfectly, but honestly since the warranty expired (it's 7 years for your PSU if I'm not mistaken) I'd replace it. Just personal opinion.
Corsair Employees Corsair Mint Posted November 5, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2018 If the PSU is still running strong, why not? But we all tend to have an itch to replace our components with new things whenever we upgrade something else in our systems.
Vegan
I have an old TX850V2 and it has survived and still as strong as ever I have looked at maybe a new one mostly for better efficiency
Auda
Seems like 7 years was the magic limit. I was bleeding the watercooling loop when the the fuse to my living room blew. The on/off switch has welded itself together, so it is impossible to turn it off now. Luckily the only thing connected was a d5 pump.
