Murphdog
I have two bad matched CMX512-3200PT modules. The machine got a BSOD one day and could not be restored. Whenever I tried to install XP pro random files could not be copied from the cd to disk for setup. I tried multiple copies of XP with no sucess. I also tried each module by it's self with the same errors occuring. I just put an old stick of PC2100 ram in the machine and everything runs fine now. The Mobo is a Asus A8N-Sli deluxe. I need an ID so I can get an RMA. Thanks
Wired
Test the memory in another 400 Mhz FSB setup, or test other 3200 memory in your system, as when you test with 2100 memory it doesn't exclude the possibility of the memory controller having a problem. Murphdog
I tried a stick of Kingston 3200 from my friends machine. Everything is ok. Test the memory in another 400 Mhz FSB setup, or test other 3200 memory in your system, as when you test with 2100 memory it doesn't exclude the possibility of the memory controller having a problem.
