Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 I think I have already answered this in another thread. http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=176015#post176015 This Notebook will see a max of 2 512 Meg PC-2700 200 Pin SO Dim modules. So the part# would be VS512SDS333, and you will need to replace the modules you have installed now. According to Sony that NB comes with 2-256 Meg modules installed. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 The difference is the timings and speed settings set in the SPD, but according to the information on Sony's site this notebook comes with DDR333. I would check you modules with CPU-Z and see what in the SPD of the modules. If you have PC2100 memory, you might ask Sony if you specific model will run with DDR333 and I would not suggest mixing them.
