emydod Posted October 14, 2018 Share Posted October 14, 2018 i have this 32GB "CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10 ", purchased back in 10/2012. it is in an ASUS Sabertooth x79 mobo. wanting to increase the mem by 16GB or 32GB. will it be possible to find new mem that is compatible with the old? or am i going to have to purchase all new 64GB ram if i want to increase ram on this mobo? However, Corsair will guarantee compatibility only when you buy a matched set. understood. i did find a new unopened box of the same mem kit on ebay. its almost a 100usd than what i paid back in 2012. ouch, though ram had gone down in price. ;-) but, as you mentioned, that would be less problematic. casual searches hasn't produced new 32GB kit with same specs, so far... thanks for your help and reply Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
