Leo1234
Hello, I have a TwinX RAMs modules and one of them have a problem. I did a RAM test with memtest86 and the module have some bad sectors or something like that. Anyway, my computer reboot sometimes, and I had problems to install programs. It's a TwinX-3200LL. Thanks. Wired
Try one stick at a time in each slot. Could be just a slot problem or maybe a memory controller problem. What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have?

Me again, just some additional information. I tried running the test with just one module at a time and one passes fine on each slot and one fails every time, on any slot, on test 8. My computer is: P4(800) 3GHz, Asus P4C800 Deluxe, TwinX CMX512-3200LL, MSI GeForceFX 5900 Ultra. Thanks in advance. Leo.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 Leo, Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org for 2-3 passes.
Leo1234
Thanks for your quick answer. I never overclock my computer and I don't have change the cache latency settings. All are configured by SPD. I don't have any problem with one, all the test pass perfectly. I launch the test during one hour (5 times). But with the other, there are always errors with test 8 on any slot in which it's plugged. PS: Sorry for my very bad english.
Leo1234
I test my memories with the last version of MemTest86 and the Microsoft utility.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 Please try setting the Dim Voltage as I am 80% sure that may solve the problem based on what you have posted. If not then please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
Leo1234
I fixed the DRAM Voltage as you said (2.75V) but I always have the same error on the same memory. The test (with Memtest86) crashes under the 8th test. This is a TwinX pack. Do I have to send you the two modules or only the bad memory?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 Yes you should send both modules.
