evl
I own the model h100i, bought 5 years ago. I've noticed a problem with the tubes and sealing next to the watercooler block, as seen in the picture. Its normal? Should I worry and request the equipment RMA? c-attack
Those sleeve/junction guards are an exterior level of protection and not responsible for containing the fluid. However, since you cannot see the condition of the rubber tube underneath and because of the age of the cooler, I would contact Corsair Support through the ticket system and make inquiries. The warranty is typically 5 years, so bear that in mind.
evl
Warranty is gone. :( I would like to know if this fissure caused by the aged sleeve is a risk for my pc. Is there any chance of leaking? Should I stop using it now and replace for another one?
c-attack
The end “cap” is partly cosmetic and also designed to protect what’s underneath - the actual tube insertion point. So no, the thing isn’t going to start shooting water around. However, I can see why it would make you uncomfortable and I am not sure I would keep in either. Given the cost of a new cooler vs the cost of a motherboard/GPU, I would probably be looking for a replacement. If you are past 5 years, the cooler has had a productive life.
