cheeno
ISSUE: - Corsair H100i Pro RGB AIO. - Pump is flashing RED LEDS. - CPU FAN error message on screen. - Machine will not boot as the Processor will get too hot. - H100i Pump cannot be managed with iCue. TROUBLESHOOTING: - Tested the CPU_FAN connection with other fans, they work and are manageable. - The contact between the Pump and Proc is flush. - Sata Power is connected, USB connected. NOTE: - Upon use the pump did make a grinding sound that is no longer present. CONCLUSION: Is it safe to say the AIO is DOA? ----------------------- - As of 10/01/2018 9PM EST - The AIO has been returned to the vendor for a confirmed Dead Water Pump. (Tested AIO with technicians at site) - Got it replaced .. with the same exact model. Lets pray to the gods that this was a one off and I was that % of customer that got the bad one out of the box. cheeno
NOTE: (Post uninstalling the AIO) - Observed the stock thermal paste hardened in some sections more so than others.
c-attack
Sounds like DOA to me. The flashing red is a bit alarming and likely precludes any normal connection errors. All the power comes through the SATA line, so other than using a different lead or PSU connector, it should work. That said, your other information (like flashing red and non-recognition) suggests that is not the problem. Probably bad wiring on the pump and I would return it to the vendor as defective. Not common. That is only maybe the 2nd or 3rd PRO cooler on the forums to come out of a box like that.

I went and returned it. Just got my new one. ETA 2-3 hours before I get home and reinstall and test. I will also be using different thermal paste. :) Thanks again!
