mtordie
Did research on your site to update some laptop memory. I have a IBM thinkpad 1400 type 2621-482. Website stated I need I could take 256mb total memory. I have a factory installed 64mb. I bought a 128mb part number CMSS128MB-100SOD. Computer is having real problems after installing this module. Sometimes it boots without being recognized at all. Othertimes it will boot stating 128mb. And Windows had random errors as well. What gives? Take it out and all is well? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 23, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 23, 2005 Can you please give us the link for the detail specification on your IBM ThinkPad? This should help us answer your question, on whether or not the module that you have is compatible, and what are the necessary things you have to do when upgrading or adding more memory to your notebook. What link are you talking about? All you have to do is plug my model number iinto your database and it gives you the modules that are supported. I used this information to purchase the module. That was the first thing I said in my post. The link for the manufacture is below. http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=482&uid=psg1MIGR-4GAJF4&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en
