Rock142
I've been having boot issues with this memory running @ 2,2,2,5 --2.8v, on this board, once in every couple of boots I get system failed memory test @ these timings...I posted this issue in this forum and another forums and was told that with my set up mainly the FX-55 I will have issue with this memory and timmings of 2,2,2,5, its seem the fx-55 is picky with timming of 2.0. I then set my timming to 2.5,3,3,6 @ 2.75v and it seemed to have done the trick...what do you guys think? and what do you think RamGuy? Any other suggestions? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 23, 2005 I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and see if that helps. You might try setting the Rass to Cass to "3" and then test the system with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. Also the latest bios is Ver. 1.005 beta 3 you might give that a try as well. Rock142
Hi RamGuy and thanks for your response. I do have the DDR voltage @ 2.8v with 2,2,2,5 timmings and still the same, I will try setting Ras to Cas to 3, and with the 1005 beta bios i like to wait till its final and then I'll give it a try and see what happens. Do you think I'm short changing myself with 2.5,3,3,6 @ 2.75v? is the difference in these timming really that noticable? and do you feel as the Bios matures Timming will be more stable? Thanks again for you help and I'll let you know how I make out
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 24, 2005 That would suggest some other problem, I would try the timings set to Cass 2-3-2-5 with the (TRCD) Rass to Cass set to "3"
Rock142
Hi RamGuy, just an update, I did set the timming to 2,3,2,5 @ 2.8v,1T and so far so good thanks :D: . one more thing if I can ask, should I keep the voltage @ 2.8? or step it down to 2.75? I'm just nervous that 2.8v is over doing it. Thanks again for all your help. Wired
They're rated up to, but not over, 2.9 volts, so it's all good :)
