Action Renaming Question - Actions won't rename

Often when I rename my action it will stick with the old name and will not rename the action. Anybody know why, or what I can do?

The process I use to rename the action is:

1. Double click on the action to open the name band for editing

2. Rename the action ensuring that it is not duplicated elsewhere.

3. Press enter or leave the action by clicking on a different action.

When I do this it just reverts to the previous name. Sometimes it works. Many times not. On the times it works it is renamed when I close ICUE and reopen it. Is there any way to refresh the ICUE screen in program?

My zip file of my exported logs is 20+ MB, so I can't upload it here. I did a search in this forum of "upload logs", and found several posts of people saying their log file is too large to upload, but never see the solution in the post. Do you PM them maybe?

Will do.

What sort of information is easily accessible from the error log? I migrated my Corsair products to a different gaming computer in the crash of 2018, and have since deleted all my business profiles from the computer (recently), but the names of those profiles etc. would indicate some banking health info (not too personal), but enough not to be wanted in the public domain. Easy way to shrink it down or filter it?

Not sure if this helps you troubleshoot your issue, yet I have noticed that if I copy an existing profile to use with another application (BF1 copied and renamed to COD BO4) and attempt to rename the actions in the new profile, it will not save them once I leave edit mode (move cursor out of action name field).

Yet if I go to the original profile and rename the action there, it also updates the new profile action name.

The action function itself can be remapped to something else and that saves as expected, just the title of the action is linked to the original profile for some reason.

Sneetch, That's it! Always before I do an edit which could mess things up (pretty much always: moving action assignments around or editing actions), I copy the profile and work on the copy. Yeah that's the repeatable cause of my issue. Thanks.
