k95 rgb platinum Shadow in keys & volume scroll is not smooth

Today I received a new K95 RGB Prem keyboard after I've RMA'd my old one. And I noticed that the keys are showing some kind of shadow. Here's an example of my old keyboard keys and lightning:

You'll see shadows in the keys. Is this normal?

 

I also noticed that the volume scroll on the keyboard isn't 'smooth' as my previous k95 keyboard. I don't hear any clicky sounds when I scroll it like much google results, but instead I hear 1 "resistance" click sound once per 100% wheel turn and there's some resistance to it like it has not been oiled. I have to scroll a bit harder for it to be moving.

Again, like my previous question. Is this normal?
