H60 2018 ,7700K,Please Help

I just bought Corsair h60 2018 model , very beautiful cooler .

But I have some problems , my Tower is Fractal Define Mini C TG with 2 x 14 Noctua at 900rpm in front . 2x12 noctua at 1.000 as exhaust up on the tower , and my Corsair H60 on the back pushing out the hot air.

 

The problem is Temps , at 26 indoor I have 40-50c at 10-40% cpu load and I get 90-93 at 100% Cpu load.

 

All the conections are correct , Pump is turning at 4.000 rpm , Radiator fan is spinning from 600 to 1600. and the radiator is pushing hot air outside the tower. So everything looks ok.

My previous CPU cooler was a really Small Noctua D9L and I got way better temps 35-40c and at 100% cpu load I got 83-85c with much lower noise spinning at 1.200 rpm.

 

I have also checked all the connections and back plate .

You don't have enough intake and it's very likely that very warm air is going through the radiator. This warms up the coolant, which then has an impact on the CPU temperatures.

 

The problem is ... that case is really small and your options for fixing airflow issues are pretty limited, especially with a GPU like the 1080Ti that puts off massive amounts of heat. The placement of the cooler with respect to the GPU means that the GPUs waste heat is going straight into the radiator. The first thing that I would suggest is that you start with reversing the airflow on the cooler - configure it as intake vs. exhaust - and see if you see different temperatures.

U have a really good point , I just checked that using a Stress test for CPU only , I got 82-84 Cpu temps .

Playing games like Far Cry 5 my Asus Strix 1080TI put out a lot of hot air inside the Case ,,, and happens exactly what u say.

 

 

So now I will do what u said that makes a lot of sense (stupid me). I will palce first the fan on the back as intake fresh air from outside over the radiator and then this hot air will exhausted from the fan over the radiator.

Correct ?

Yes, radiator as intake; it will exhaust into the case. Keep the front intake as well. And the heat from the radiator as well as the GPU heat will be exhausted out of the top. This should also give you positive pressure.

 

You'll want to also put some thought into a fan curve - the more heat you have in the case, the faster you want the air to move.

Wow u just solved it. Using your tips 2x front intake 1xradiator on the back as intake and 2x as exhaust up on the tower , gives me 11c lower temps on Cpu.... You are perfect. many many thanks.
