Sebastian198910
Which Corsair Hydro solution would you recommand? I'm planing to build a new PC. As a case I want to use the 750D. The CPU is the i7-8700K so it is socket 1151. The radiator should be mounted at the top of the case but which one is the optimal solution? I'm currently struggling between the following (while I'm not 100% sure if they would fit): H150i Pro, H115i Pro, H100i Pro. Which one would you recommand for this case and cpu? c-attack
The 280mm H115i PRO is the natural fit for top exhaust. It could theoretically be mounted in the front, but it is a long run from CPU to front intake and it would not be my first choice. A H115i Pro will offer the same or better cooling than a H100i PRO, but with with less fan speed (noise). It might be possible to put the H150i (360mm) in the top, but it would likely require the sacrifice of the top 5.25 drives. I would prefer someone who has the case in their possession answer this. Either way, both the H115i Pro and H150i Pro are plenty of cooler for an 8700K in any state. Coolant temperature will not be your limitation. All 8700K CPUs will be limited by their material construction and the Vcore used.
