iCUE prevents profile switching button working, how bypass?

I must not be seeing something obvious and would appreciate a tip please. Set up 3 groovy profiles with iCUE. Upload them to kb. Preess profile button on kb and nothing happens, kb stuck on Default settings. Turn off iCUE and then profile button cycles the three uploaded profiles. Which I think I should be able to have iCUE running and cycle profiles at a button push whenever I like. Surely there is a setting to stop this over-ride behaviour, anyone know where it is? Thank you.

The HW1,2,3 profiles in iCUE are a means of saving a created profile to the device. They are not meant to be your active software profiles. Notice the different icon for each and there are limitations to how much you can do with the HW profiles. You need to replicate your HW profiles into standard software profiles(+). Not sure if the copy function will work with the HW. Either way, when iCUE is running software profiles are active. iCUE closed, HW profiles are active.

Yay, thank you. That all makes sense, now I have done it. So I have added five profiles and the button now cycles them. If I plug the kb in elsewhere, then I have three loaded 'to go'.

So a feedback issue, from a newbie perspective, would be an installation an opt-in tick box to load 'first timer' vanilla profiles when installing or updating iCUE.
