Conjure
Hi all, I recently built a new system which has been rock solid, however my H100i v2 seems to be resetting or reverting to the "CorsairXp" driver after every boot, to the point that I have to manually remove it each time, reboot, then install the 3.6.0.0 driver manually. I can't for the life of me get it to stick. When it reverts back to the "old" driver, I the pump is going at 100%, the RGB setting loses its color, etc. Any idea? DevBiker
That is the driver that it's supposed to use. What is this 3.6.0.0 driver you speak of?
Conjure
That is the driver that it's supposed to use. What is this 3.6.0.0 driver you speak of? No, it's not. http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=856104 When I use these drivers, the H100i v2 works fine, is controllable, and is seen in Corsair LINK. When it reverts to the other driver, it's on full blast all the time and not seen anywhere but in Device Manager. It's not the correct driver. DevBiker
That driver has long since been updated in the Link installation - that post is over 2 years old. It's the correct driver in the Link (and iCue) installation and is dated 7/14/2017 - a year after that post. Did you check the dates for this new driver (that you don't want)? Did you try to Rollback the driver (rather than reinstall)? So what's happening is Windows is (helpfully) updating your driver to the latest version on the system when it reboots. It does that. If you delete all of the drivers, you may be able to install that specific one. If, that is, that's what you want to do. Now ... I will tell you that one symptom of an improperly powered H100i V2 is that the driver doesn't pick it up. Perhaps you're masking the issue by using a later driver? Have you set the fan header for the H100i V2 properly?
