Hi,

I have purchased at seperate times two CMX512-3200C2PRO modules and was wondering if they will run in Dual Channel on a Gigabyte K8NS ULTRA 939 Mobo with a Athlon 64 3500. One stick says XMS3202v.(version?) 1.1 the other XMS3202v.2.1? Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Installed Mobo and ram.. slots 1/2 dual mode....would not boot in dual mode.....when seperated to slots 1/3 only one stick of ram is recognized..in slot 3. Both sticks are working, so I am baffeled as to how to fix this. There is no bios update, I have F5 which is the most recent. Can anyone make a suggestion?? :[pouts:

Try slots 3 and 4. If no go, that means then that the memory controller can't handle 2 sticks in single or dual channel. I'd test the memory in another system to be safe, but at that point I'd be 99% sure they're fine and that the memory controller is dead.

Well I tried the Ram in every configuration possible and it still wont boot with 2 sticks, only one. Both ram modules work well, I am RMA'ing the lot of Mobo, CPU, both modules of ram back to the supplier to replace and test before shipping back to me. I hope this will fix the problems. Thanks for the help WIRED!!

Cheers,

The 2 modules you have are made with totally different IC's and I would not suggest running them in dual channel. If you just purchased these I would see if the reseller will let you return them for one Twinx1024-3200C2Pro Instead.
