Can't get all fans and light strips to work simultaneously

Hello

I recently built my new computer with 12 LL series fans as well as 4 RGB LED strips and no matter what I do, I can't get them to all work properly.

I have 2 commander pros, which I'm using to power 12 fans, but for some reason the CoPros are not being detected in iCUE. I have one that came with my Obsidian 1000D, and then the 2nd that is plugged into that one. I also have 2 lighting node pros.

For some reason, whenever I plug the fans or light strips into the commander pro, they never light up. They only light up when I plug them into the lighting node pro, but yet I can't get the fans and the rgb strips to work together whenever I do that. If I plug the 12 fans into one lnp, and then the rgb strips into the 2nd, the first 6 fans on the first lnp won't work for some reason. I've tried this and like 6 other combinations but can't for the life of me get them all working.

From my understanding, I should be able to hook up all the fans and RGB strips to my CoPros, but yet only one or neither of them are being detected in iCUE. Maybe one of them is faulty?

Can somebody explain the ideal way to hook up the fans and RGB strips together? Should I even need the lighting node pros? Any help is greatly appreciated.

For much of what you are asking, I would suggest that you head over to the RGB FAQ linked in my signature.

From there, the missing CoPros is a concern. Yes, it should work. I would suggest first checking that XHCI is enabled and Fast Boot is disabled (in the BIOS) and also that Windows Fast Startup is also disabled.

You can also look at USBDeView to see what's actually detected in Windows. It'll also let you disable/enable individual devices (to reload the driver) which may also help.

Okay, so according to your diagram, I should be able to plug my RGB LED hubs into the Commander Pro, and then just use 1 lighting node pro to hook up my LED strips, yes?

I downloaded USBDeView and it's only showing the 1000d and the lighting node pro and not the commander pros. I have had at least one of the commander pros show up before, but not two. However, now for some reason neither are showing up. I'll try to mess around with them and see if I can get them both working. They're getting power to them, but I assume that doesn't matter as far as them showing up in the software, right?

Thanks for your help.

So I plugged my 2nd Commander Pro into the main USB port on the motherboard and it gets detected, so for some reason the CoPro that came with the case is faulty. Guess I'll have to get it replaced, but at least I now have all the fans and LED strips working. Thanks again for your help!
