Daniel_p_f
Hi, I've found these two models number on the same store for the same price and it got me curious about what is the difference between them: CMV8GX4M1L2400C16 and CMV8GX4M1A2400C16. What the "L" and the "A" stand for? Are they fully compatible? Is any of them any better? I've noticed that many people ask about these kind of difference, but only to know if will they work together, but i never seen anyone explain the meaning of the different code. MikeyR
Can't give you a definitive answer, but I think this is a qualified guess. I believe it is just a different model number for a different market, it seems like the "L" Version is mainly marketed in Brazil, maybe it stands for "Latin America" and the "A" seems to be marketed mostly around the european market can't seem to figure out what it stands for though. Corsair Employees Corsair Art Posted July 31, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 31, 2018 They're just different revisions, couldn't tell you which exact changes another module did but I'll do mention that you should try to get the one listed in the QVL for your motherboard. -Art
