xeLa
I have two sticks of ram, the corsair cmx512-3200c2 (xms3202v2.1). System Specs: shuttle sn85g4 v2 nvidia nforce 2 mobo loaded optimized settings in bios bios is the latest version amd athlon 64 +3700 radeon 9800xt At times when using the computer, it would Blue Screen of Death during anything taxing on the system, ie. video editing, image editing, 3d rendering. Bios was updated and loaded with default settings. Initially, I thought it may be my system overheating but I checked temperatures for my CPU and it was around 60 C. Then I decided to test the memory using memtest86. Ran memtest86 with 1024mb ram (both sticks) ended up with more than 700,000 errors and then the program froze. Ran memtest86 again with individual sticks in different slots, again i ended up with more than 100,000 errors and memtest86 freezing again. I made another copy of memtest86 in case it may have been a bad copy. Same results. These are all with default and optimized settings found within the bios. Memory Specifications: CMX512-3200C2 XMS Xtreme Memory Speed XMS3200 512MB 400Mhz CL2 XMS3202v2.1 0304032
CMC_SAVAGE
nvidia nforce 2 mobo Make and model? Both sticks produce errors when tested individually?
xeLa
Make and model? Both sticks produce errors when tested individually? Yes, both sticks produce errors. I tested them individually on different slots too. Sorry, not the nforce2. It's the nVIDIA nFORCE3 150 CHIPSET.
xeLa
I recently tried another stick from a different computer on the system. I ran memtest 86 and it did not produce any errors. This leads me to believe that both sticks, somehow, went bad.
