gutcheck
Hi, I've never had an application tell me my RAM temps.... I have the 3000 32GB kit and iCue is reporting them at 54 degrees... while I am writing this. Is that OK? Seems hot no?
c-attack
Corsair does not specify on their site, but if you can figure out the supplier (Hynix, Samsung, etc) you might be able to find an exact number. Either way the range is usually in the 85-105C range, similar to max temps for other motherboard components like the VRM. Obviously at 50-something Celsius, you have a lot head room. No matter the exact limit, once you get near 75-80C you should set up some direct cooling.
emissary42
The viable temperature range also depends on settings for some ICs, so the actual limit can be lower than what the ICs are speficied for by their DRAM manufacturer. However if your system is stable with memory @ 54°, then you don't have a reason to worry.
