PeytonPage
I purchased a obsidian 500D SE RGB case from Corsair on July 4. I did not open it until this week. When I went to open the side panel I found that the commander pro was already 3M attached to the side panel in a location that no one would want it. Attempts to remove it would damage the case or commander pro. I also found that the other fan controller included was also already attached to the case in an unwanted location. Was this intentional? Or was I given a preowned case? The case also seemed to have residue of some sort on it though the glass was still covered.
Corsair Employees Corsair Caliente Posted July 23, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 23, 2018 The 500D should come with the Fan HUB attached to the PSU shroud and the Commander Pro directly below it. It shouldn't be on the glass panel. Check out the product page and scroll down to the airflow diagram and you'll see where it should be. Our support team should be able to help you. I would suggest contacting them at https://support.corsair.com.

I was able to remove the commander pro safely using a hair dryer and a prying tool without damaging the glass.
