granatl
About a year ago, I put together a new system using a MSI K8T Neo mobo w/ AMD 3000+ and 2 sticks of VS512MB400 (lot 04020730). The system has been very stable, but I noticed during the BIOS initialization screen, the RAM was being clocked at 333 MHz. Last week, I added a 1GB stick of DDR (different name brand) to bring the system to 2GB. I noticed right away that the system was unstable. So tonight, I took out the Corsair sticks and saw that the new ram is being clocked at 400MHz (as it should be). Any ideas on why the BIOS thinks that these older sticks aren't PC3200? :[pouts:
Wired
Running them by themselves, and not with the 1 GB stick, showed up as 333 Mhz?
granatl
Running them by themselves, and not with the 1 GB stick, showed up as 333 Mhz? Yes, that's correct. They've been that way for about a year.
