DedTV
I have 2 sticks of Corsair CMX512-3200C2PT 512MB DDR400 PC3200 XMS Memory w/Silver Heat Spreader bought from ZipZoomFly on 1/30/04. They’ve both have, and still do, work flawlessly on a Gigabyte GA-8PE667 Ultra 2 which is running at 333 FSB. However 2 weeks ago I upgraded to a Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR and 1 stick will not work at DDR-400 on that board. I’ve tried them each individually with the BIOS set to defaults at both Auto and CAS 3.0 settings and one stick works perfectly while the other produces numerous errors in test #5 of memtest (memtest.org), produces “Probable Memory Fault” errors with QuickPar, and produces many “Memory could not be referenced” type errors in games. Clocking the DRAM settings down to DDR-333 allows the RAM to again work without any obvious error. Should I RMA the problem stick or are there any settings in the BIOS I might've missed that I should try to get it to run at the DDR-400 speed?
