Mr. Tickles
I purchased 2- 1G matched pairs of CMX512RE -3200LL for my Gigabyte GA-8KNXP. When I bought it I was sure it was on the list for compatable ram but I'm not sure if I should have gotten the low latency. Running 3.2G P4, NVidia Quadro FX1000, West Dig HDs. Basically, I can't even post with any of the 4 sticks in- get the beeping instead. Just for kicks I tried to install them on my Abit IC7-G motherboard with the same result. Both comps work fine with other ram. I can't imagine all 4 sticks are bad so I'm afraid there is a compatibility issue. If that's the cause is there any way I can trade these in for lower cost dimms taking into consideration you won't be able to sell these as new (I assume). Wired
Not finding any info that says that either of those boards supports REGISTERED memory, just ECC memory.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 14, 2005 Either of those MB's would require un-registered memory. These modules would be for AMD 64 Opteron socket 940 CPU's
