Maxit
I have two Corsair XMS CMX512 - 3200C2PT sticks of ram that are having problems. I have tried them in 3 different machines and they are always giving me problems. In one machine it reboots my computer after about 8-12 hours (non-gaming). In the other two it crashes after a few minutes of playing doom. It also reads the memory as 200Mhz instead of 400. I know it is the memory because when I switch memory out everything works fine and it is read as 400. My main machine is: asus K8N-E Deluxe athlon 64 3200+ PNY 4200Ti WD 120GB 8MB I asked for a RMS from corsair using their request form and have not gotten a reply in about a month. What is my next course of action? Thanks
jsteel44
Try clearing the BIOS before you put the corsair modules in.

Maxit
Can you tell me the modules part# and revison and the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? xms3202v1.2 0332591 I didn't put any bios info because it is happening with my msi Mega 865 machine and my asus athlon 64 machine I built. The Mega 865 has phoenix bios 3.67.000 and the asus K8N-E Deluxe board has bios version 1006 The bios on both machine is up to date. I don't have anything overclocked.
