I have a Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro with corsair TWINX1024-3200XLPT, but I must decrease the frequency of RAM to 333 because at normal frequency (400) the system was instable. How must I do to setup the RAM at 400 and have the system stable ?

Maybe it's just a setting you need to modify and/or fix. First tell us about your computer knowledge : Do you know anything about the BIOS & are you comfortable about going in there to make changes?

Yes, I know the BIOS, and I decreased the frequency of RAM by changing some settings. The actual settings in the page titled "MB Intelligent Tweaker" are:

Robust graphics booster: Auto

C.I.A.2: Disabled

CPU host clock control: Disabled

Cpu host frequency (Mhz): 200

PCI-E frequency to CPU: Auto

Memory frequency for: 1.66

Memory frequency (Mhz): 333

DIMM overvoltage control: Normal

PCI-E overvoltage control: Normal

CPU voltage control: Normal

Normal CPU Vcore: 1.3875

If I change the setting "Memory frequency for" to "Auto" and then automatically the "Memory frequency (Mhz)" change to "400" at the next reboot the system crash continuously. What settings can I use to make the system stable at the frequency of 400 Mhz for RAM ??

XMS3200C2 would be rated at Cass 2.5-3-3-6 at DDR400 and with the MB you posted A7N8X-E and a 3200+ CPU please set the FSB jumper to pins 2-3 and then cleat the bios and install the modules in slots 2-3 and set the timings and voltage manually.

The problem is the same of the first post, and I have already tested the modules with memtest and the setting that you suggested, but in any cases I had errors.

I would want to know if I must continue to use the modules at 333 Mhz or if I can make others test with others settings.

Thanks
