DrJon
I was looking for somewhere where I could try a Corsair Strafe RGB, but am not getting anywhere. I'm looking for a new gaming keyboard. I really like the Steel Series Apex M750 (I love the feel of the keys) but it is a little noisy for more general use. I wanted to try the Corsair Strafe RGB with the Cherry Silent Red keys but can't find one on demo anywhere. All the PC World/Currys stores seem to have the same set of keyboards out (and the boxed ones are sealed). Maplin have very few on demo. Does anyone have any ideas of other places to look? Keyboard suggestions with a feel like the M750 (which is widely demo'd in PC World branches) and RGB lighting would also be welcome.
Corsair Employees Corsair Mint Posted May 7, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 7, 2018 Hi DrJon, I don't have much experience with the Steel Series boards, but I looked up the switches. It looks like the QX2 closest equivalent would be Cherry Red. Do note, there's a Cherry MX Red and a Cherry MX Silent, which is like Red but with dampening to reduce impact noise. DrJon
Thanks, it's a pain you can play with so few things these days, I really don't want to be ordering and returning a bunch of keyboards but I'd like one with a really nice feel this time. I also think maybe slightly more sloping keycap edges is good for me, so a slight inaccuracy doesn't catch the next key.
