Vissy
So I bought 2 LL120 fans by themselves. I wanted to set up these two fans and some LED strips. What exactly would I need to buy to make this work? If I bought the Commander Pro and the LED expansion pack would I have everything I need? Thanks for any replies. c-attack
That would work. However, if you don't need the fan control capabilities and can get by without the LED strip extensions, then the basic Lighting Node Pro pack (w/ 4 strips) will get you what you need. The extensions value is usually case dependent. It was a godsend in my 740. In a smaller case, you may not need them. I really like the flexibility the Commander Pro offers and I use it even when I don't have any RGB stuff installed. Regardless, you need either a Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro to interface with the control software. The strips will also connect to this as well. The final missing piece may be the lighting hub. Each LL fan has one wire for fan power and one for lighting power. The lighting wire goes to the lighting hub. You may not have one if you bought 2 individual LL120 fans. It comes in the 3 pack or individually from Corsair.
DevBiker
Make sure that you read through the RGB FAQ that's linked in my signature. Lots of good info there.
Vissy
Thank very much for the replies. Looks like I need a Lighting Node Pro and the lighting hub. I can't order the hub from Corsair directly since I live in the UK and they don't ship here. Since I've already got two fans I don't want to buy the three pack for the hub. Do you know if there's anywhere else I can get just the hub from? I've searched but can't seem to find anywhere.
c-attack
Can you return the 2 individual fans and get the three pack? If you are going to in for 2, you might as well think about doing some of the other case fans as well. It's a lot of hassle for 2 fans.
Vissy
Thanks for the help. I've managed to get everything set up. However, for some reason when I installed LINK the brightness of all fans/LEDs is way lower than it was before, even thought the brightness slider is all the way up. I don't suppose you know what is causing this or how to fix it? Edit: Sorted. My bad. Edited May 12, 2018 by Vissy
