jamesman8 Posted May 3, 2018 Share Posted May 3, 2018 So this is a bit odd, all my fans were working recently until the 2 fans, plugged into ports 5 and 6 on my corsair RGB hub, stopped working. When swapping the fans on 5/6 to other ports, the fans and RGB are fully functional. I tried creating a new preset and these ports are not detected. I actually swapped out the RGB hub after thinking the current one was fried, but on the brand new one the problem still persists. Is it a problem with the RGB hub communicating with the commander pro that the RGB hub is connected too? What should I do now? Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Negative, the fans on ports 5/6 didn't light up. I highly doubt it's a hardware issue because there is 1 or 2 LED's on the 5th port that light up but 0 on #6. I actually think its software because ports 1-4 have pretty much the right color but they're flickering other colors on some LED's Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DevBiker Posted May 4, 2018 Share Posted May 4, 2018 Well, let's rule out the current version of Link. Can you uninstall and reinstall the previous version? And did you switch around other fans as well? Or just 4 & 5? In particular, switching around Fan 3 may be telling. Perhaps swap that with #6. Or just completely reverse them. I know that you don't think it's a hardware issue but I don't want to rule out the possibility. These fans run the LEDs in a series - so 1 bad fan can impact everything else down the line. It's also possible that it's the fan hub - since you had them working, I'm assuming that they worked with an earlier version of Link. It actually refuses to let me, it just opens a new tab and redirects me to the download page again. I'm on the page where you can download older versions.
