Carbide 100r supported fans

I'm using a Carbide 100r midtower case, and love it! I believe though that it's getting to hot and want to add additional cooling. I'm wanting to put two fans on top above the CPU, and a fan behind the hard drives. I was given a silent wings 140MM case fan and tried putting it on top, thinking I could put one 140MM in instead of two 120MM fans, it didn't fit it was to thick and ran in to the CPU and also wouldn't fit in the case. What supported fan sizes and thicknesses are available for my case? I'd prefer the quietest fans is possible. Also, what sort of y-cable is needed? I have one open connector on the motherboard.

The Carbide 100R is a compact case, you can't fit regular profile fan on top if you have a bulky CPU cooler or ram with high heatsink in your system. I would recommend looking into low-profile fans (in case you wonder, we don't have any). They will have a better chance of clearance.
