Herodrink
can someone details what the two power cables are for on the mm1000? I know one is USB passthrough. Is the other power? Also, can I plug both into a usb2.0 hub? My pc isn't close enough to plug into the USB 3.0 slots.
PEneoark
One should be for the passthrough and one for pad. If you do not have enough 3.0 ports, try a 2.0 port or use a powered 3.0 hub.
Corsair Employee Corsair Lettuce Posted April 17, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 17, 2018 One cable should be for power and the other one should power the pass through, if you connect the main cable to USB 3.0 you shouldn't need to plug in the second USB. HeWhoFallsALot
I just got the mm1000 mousepad and I only have 1 USB slot available in the back of my PC. However, right now I'm using the larger of the two cables and I don't have the other one plugged into anything, yet it works fine. It charges my mouse and I can plug my mouse's receiver into the mm1000 and the mouse works. What do I need the smaller USB for?
Apophis3
The 2nd plug is for people with no USB3 ports
