Degrizz
Ok first off I'd liked to say this is a really nice forum, great info and very friendly. I wish I would have seen your site before I purchased my ram. Now on to my problem. :(: i just bought a stick of cmx512-3200c2 V5.1 to add to my p4pe motherboard bios 1007 and 2.4b cpu which already has one stick of cmx512-3200c2 V1.1 As you can guess the two work fine by themselves but not together (hangs on boot). I need to know if theirs anything I can do to make these work, like changing the setting in the bios or do I have to rma them? also is this common with other brands of ram? in the past I've added different brands of ram to my computers with out a problem. thank you
Wired
The memory controller on the chipset doesn't like different ICs. Some memory companys use the same IC for everything, some don't.

Wired
Try loosening the timings: CAS Latency: 3 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4 Row Precharge (tRP): 4 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8 2.8 volts
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 11, 2005 Actually Rev 1.1 will not support Cass 3. I would suggest Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts!
Degrizz
played around with the voltage and timings but no luck. :(:

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 15, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 15, 2005 I would suggest maybe finding another use for the older module and just order another one to match the new module or maybe send it back and just get a Twinx set for best performance.
