Keyboard Non-Responsive

Hey guys, hoping you could help me solve this problem or at least let me know if my keyboard is just dead.

 

So I have a Corsair Strafe RGB and I accidentally spilled a drink on it, I cleaned it up immediately and it only ever got on a tiny part of the keyboard, just around the Shift and Ctrl keys on the right side. After cleaning it up I continued as normal and the keyboard was working just fine. It wasn’t until about 30 minutes later I realized a few of the keys were not working, backspace and space bar specifically, but potentially others. All of the letters worked fine.

 

So, I unplugged my keyboard from USB and replugged it in in an attempt to fix it but once I did that the keyboard became completely unresponsive. The only thing ‘on’ are three white indicator lights across the top, for ‘Num Lock’ and things like that and then a white light along each side of the keyboard. So that leads me to believe it didn’t short circuit but I don’t know, I’m a bit out of my depth.

 

I’ve tried rebooting the PC, tried different USB ports. I’ve tried uninstalling the drivers but I’m not entirely sure everything that needs to he done for that. I’ve also tried resetting the firmware by holding ESC as I plug the keyboard in, but again nothing.

 

I’m hoping I didn’t brick it, but I feel like I’ve tried just about everything I can think of. So I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone had any ideas or could just shed some light on what the issue might be.

Try contacting support for a manual firmware flash, it may help. You can put in a ticket requesting for it at our support site, they'll help you. Don't forget to give them the Part number from the underside label on the keyboard, it tells them exactly which keyboard you have.
