Jason9
Hello: I am having an odd memory issue. Regardless of what slot I put my memory modules in(ddr3200 CMX512r-3200c2pt), my computer will not POST with both in. If I pull one out, it posts just fine. This is with just these two modules installed. I have tried different slots (1-2, 1-3) and with the default bios settings. I have swapped modules, and it will POST fine, with each one, installed one at a time. Anyone have any suggestions?
Wired
That is a socket 939 board, which does NOT work with REGISTERED memory, which is what the R in the part name notates. Take it back to your reseller and get the TwinX1024-3200C2 instead.
Jason9
It is actually a socket 754 board, should this matter?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2005 Socket 754 and 939 both need un-buffered memory. Only socket 940 AMD 64's would need registered memory!
