moose_lamb
Hi, I've hit on what seems to be a recurring problem with the H150i Pro and Link. I've read several of the threads. Many seem to include problems with the Commander Pro, which I 'm not using. It also seems that there is frequent problems with the H150i and the newer Asus mb's (or am i mistaken?). So here's my problem: I have a brand new H150i that I initially installed in another system, then decided to put it my new system (components are listed in my profile). It and Link were working fine in the old system (Asus Z97-A, LGA 1150 processor). But in the new system, the H150 doesn't show in Link. The pump LED is lit and the fans are turning. I see core temps in Link, but not the H150 pump or fans. The core temps are fine. So I'm getting cooling, just not any fan or pump control. Here's what I've tried so far: Checked for proper installationChecked cable connectionsSwitched USB cable to different mb headerSwapped USB cable. Connected pump to USB port in back with micro USB cableChecked Device Manager for undiscovered devices. Looked for the device in DevManView.Made sure all USB drivers are up to date. Made sure I'm using the latest version of Link Of Note: I don't see the Corsair USBXp driver in Device Manager. And it doesn't appear in DevManView. Suggestions? DevBiker
The DevManView doesn't really help; it doesn't list the Vendor Id/Product Id. USBDview from NirSoft works well for this. "Show Hidden Devices" in device manager will also show devices that have been detected previously but aren't there now. Did you install Link before or after installing the cooler on the system? moose_lamb
Thanks, that helps. Device manager is now showing hidden devices and I can see the Corsair USBXp Driver. But it's grayed out. How do I switch it on?
moose_lamb
Also, under "Device Status" it says, "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." But it is connected to the computer. No, I didn't install Link before installing the cooler. Or ... did you have a different Corsair cooler in that system before? The only way to be sure would be to look at the device ID. For the 150, the PID is 0c12 ... you may see this in Device Manager but you'll certainly see it in USBDeView. So ... a couple of things to check in your BIOS. Make sure that both Legacy USB Compatability and XHCI Handoff are enabled. If they are ... or if enabling them doesn't help ... try deleting the device driver (and deleting all files) and then reinstalling Link. You should be able to just do a reinstall and that should reinstall the driver.
moose_lamb
Thanks so much, DevBiker. I'll try that and see how it goes.

Thank you very much for your help.
